We're back with the 6th iteration of North America's largest beginner-friendly hackathon, UBC Local Hack Day! Only with our local community relocating to their homes around the world, we decided to leave behind "Local Hack Day", and bring you all to the greater outdoors and online with our newly rebranded HackCamp.
This year, HackCamp's Learn Day and Build Day will span across a single weekend - featuring a full day of workshops and our annual 12-hour-long beginner-friendly hackathon.

HackCamp Day 1: Learn Day (Nov 6th, 9:00am - 8:30pm PST)
The first day of HackCamp is full of beginner-friendly workshops to help you gain a ton of new tech skills and prepare you for HackCamp: Build Day. We will be hosting workshops that will help you set up, design, and build your very own project from start to finish! If you are starting your journey into the world of hackathons we highly recommend attending. Our event is tailored to both coders and non-coders so that experience is not required!
HackCamp Day 2: Network Day (Nov 13th, 9:00am - 6:00pm PST)
The second day of HackCamp is a full day of networking with sponsors, industry professionals, and peers! We will have Sponsor Boothings, Speed Networking, Team Formation Events, and IceBreaker Activities. Hackers will have the opportunity to meet like-minded individuals and build new friendships! We encourage hackers of all different backgrounds to attend.
HackCamp Day 3: Build Day (Nov 14th, 9:00am - 9:30pm PST)
The third day of HackCamp is our annual beginner-friendly hackathon you know and love, it will be focused on building, hacking, and of course, teamwork! Students new to technology will have the opportunity to come together and learn how to build cool projects together. HackCamp revolves around inclusivity, diversity, and accessibility — we encourage you to work on a project that focuses on these three main pillars. We will also be donating $25 to charity for every project submission!
